  • Accounting Technician

    Description: In today's job market, you need practical and marketable skills. The Accounting Technician program offers a combination of general office administration skills, accounting skills and technology with which to help prepare you for opportunities in administrative or financial positions. A very strong aptitude for math is required for this course.

  • Accounting and Payroll Administrator

    Description: Accounting and payroll experts are the lifeblood of every business. Train to become an Accounting and Payroll Administrator at Reeves College. This 40-week diploma program goes above and beyond introductory training and will prepare you to enter the current job market with a competitive advantage. Key elements of the curriculum focus on accounting and payroll fundamentals. Students become well-versed in the business accounting cycle. Meanwhile, specialized courses review specifics, such as payroll compliance legislation like the Canada Pension Plan, the Employment Insurance Act, and the Income Tax Act. The program also offers computer and accounting software training and teaches core administrative skills. Along with an Accounting and Payroll Administrator diploma, graduates can also access the Canadian Payroll Association's Payroll Compliance Practitioner Program (PCP), which allows for a greater advantage in the competitive job market. At the end of the program, students enter a five-week practicum, complete with job search training. Graduates receive an Accounting and Payroll Administrator diploma and are fully prepared to enter the field in a number of roles, including bank teller/clerk, accounts receivable/ payable clerk, benefits/ payroll officer, or audit clerk.
