Areas of Study may vary by location. Additional academy training may be required for law enforcement positions. Certain positions may require additional training, licensing, or certification. Applicants to the Criminal Justice program in the state of Texas will require additional training approved by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officers Standards and Education (TCLEOSE) upon graduation in order to seek the following positions: police officer, peace officer, sheriff deputy, bailiff, and jailer. Paralegals are not lawyers and cannot practice law or give legal advice.

Bachelor of Science: Business Administration - Accounting
Description: The Objective of the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Concentration in Accounting is to prepare students with the knowledge, technical skills, and work habits required for an entry-level position in accounting. This program features a comprehensive study in accounting. Courses include the application of accounting principles, payroll processing, financial statement preparation, managerial accounting usage, federal taxation, and accounting software. Computer usage will be emphasized throughout the program through the use of accounting, document processing, spreadsheet software, and the exploration and use of the Internet.
